55’ film for TG4
An Irish language enthusiast suffers a mid-life crisis in this blackly comic film for TG4. He leaves his wife and child to take up with a glamorous young arsonist and finds himself in another world: the alternative culture of young, anti-globalisation warriors. Here his experience and apparent wisdom catapult him to fame and he quickly becomes a Che Guevara figure for minority cultures. But the life of an outlaw is a young man’s game, and his bang of revolt rapidly deteriorates into a whimper.
